This month marked the launch of Portland Made, a local Oregon non-profit company that is committed to providing its members with opportunities to grow through media and marketing support, public education, promotional events, retail opportunities and other local partnerships. By fostering relationships within our local economy and banding together, PMC and the city of Portland are working to grow and build a robust urban manufacturing community. Band has been a part of the Portland Made development since its inception, and in addition to completing the branding for the company, I am a member of the non-profit board. This past week we had a party to celebrate the launch of PMC Online, and it was a blast. A special address from State Representative Earl Blumenauer as well as a speech from Mayor Charlie Hales punctuated the evening’s festivities, and the future is bright. Luckily for us, the ever-talented Rachel Hadiashar was present to snap some lovely photos of the event!
