TEDxConcordiaUPortland is an independently organized and licensed TED event with a focus on local voices with an “Idea Worth Spreading.” Headquartered at NE Portland’s Concordia University, the event brings the community together annually to participate in a TED-like experience. With engaging speakers, fun activities and great performances, TEDxConcordiaUPortland helps keep the independent spirit of TED alive.
When the organizers of the event reached out to Band for assistance with their 2013 identity, we were pleased to have the chance to work with such a great group of dedicated people. Together we developed a clean and playful brand package that coherently unified the aesthetics of the event. Entitled Velocity, the 2013 day of talks and activities was attended by over 700 Portlanders, and we had a blast working on the project!
In addition to the design work we completed for the event, we also had the unique opportunity to plan and direct an “action break” event to get some of the willing participants’ blood flowing a bit in relief from a day of sitting and listening.
There were breaks organized by a good number of the speakers and organizers, so check ours out here!
